Cheating a bit here with a photo from last week -- we're deep in the middle of graduation season and I haven't had a chance to take anything new short of some practice with portrait lighting. The above photo came about when I realized I actually *have* a macro lens! It's not a true lens, rather it's an add on that came with my original kit, but still, fun times with extremely shallow depth of field. You can almost feel the heat coming off of this one.
